Veteran Track Announcer Vic Stauffer Will Call The Races At Turf Paradise
Live Local Horse Racing Returns To Arizona November 10th
Veteran track announcer Vic Stauffer will be taking the booth for Turf Paradise’s 70th season. Stauffer has called more than 40 thousand races at renown tracks such as Gulf Stream Park, Oaklawn Park, and Hollywood Park where he called the final race at that facility.
Stauffer has won two Eclipse Awards for his radio broadcasts. He has also been a member of the TVG broadcast team. “The opportunity to join the new Turf Paradise team is extremely exciting. The future of Arizona racing is limitless. I'm thrilled to share the fun in the Valley of The Sun with racing fans nationwide,” said Stauffer
Turf Paradise General Manager Tom Ludt added, “We are thrilled and excited to get started with the new meet on Nov 10th for the 70th year of racing at Turf Paradise. What an exciting time and with the news of Vic Stauffer agreeing to become our track announcer and voice of racing in Phoenix. His credentials and experience only highlight the vision and growth we expect at the revitalized Turf Paradise.”
Turf Paradise is located at 1501 West Bell Road.
General admission is $5 and includes admission to the Grandstand and Clubhouse. Table seating in the Clubhouse is $5 per person. General Parking is free.
