Gates will open at 10am and the first post time for live racing will be 12:40pm. General admission is $5 and includes entry to the Grandstand and to the Clubhouse. General parking is free as is Grandstand seating. Seating in the Clubhouse is $5 per person.
The two stakes races that had been scheduled for November 2nd have been rescheduled. The $40,000 Jeff and Jack Coady Sr. Handicap will be run on Wednesday November 13th. The $40,000 Hank Mills Jr. Handicap will be run on Thursday November 14th.
The season will run through May 3rd. This year’s schedule includes Saturday racing, including the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
A new team is now supervising the Turf’s food and beverage operations. The Clubhouse restaurant (the Stadium Club) and Turf’s concession stands are offering an expanded menu. There is also a pizza parlor in the Clubhouse, Frau Diablo’s Corner. The new team is headed by Chef Tom D’Ambrosio and Kyle Hollenbeck, Arizona natives best known as the team behind Aioli Gourmet Burgers.
Turf Paradise General Manager Vince Francia said, “Thanks to our horsemen and the AzHBPA for helping us establish the new season. Our track maintenance crews did stellar work. We are excited to bring our fans another great season of racing.”
