At Turf Paradise, we value our horse owners as they enhance our product with the running of their horses. Our location in Phoenix, Arizona proves to be the “jewel in the desert” as we have mild winters, many days in the 60s, and lots of sunshine, making our racing meet attractive.

This section is to help our owners, both in state and out, with details to make horse ownership at Turf Paradise a pleasant experience. 

Licensing:
On track premises, located through gate 3, adjacent to the racing office.  Licensing hours are 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on live race days.

Validation:
After receiving your license which is administered by the state, we ask that you visit the Horsemen’s Relations office, located in the main building in the Horsemen’s Bookkeeper’s office, for validation stickers and credentials.  Your license will receive a yearly validation sticker that reflects your participation in this year’s race meet.  You will also receive parking credentials for your car window.  These validations will allow you access to the barn area to visit your horses.  Security will ask for your license upon stable gate arrival and these validations will grant your access. Horsemen relations may be reached by phone at 602-375-6476. 

Racing staff:
The Horsemen’s Bookkeeper is available to conduct business on live race days from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. 602-375-6404

Starting Gate Café:
While you are visiting your horse, be it for morning workouts or congratulating your horse after a win, we have a restaurant and bar at your service for your enjoyment.  It is located across from the training track, and is open early for coffee, breakfast as well as lunch and an early evening bite.

Where to stay:
For our out of town owners, Turf Paradise has hotels that offer “horsemen’s rates” just by mentioning Turf Paradise.  La Quinta Inns and Suites offers horsemen’s rates and is conveniently located at I-17 and Greenway Road, just south and West of Turf Paradise.

Race day amenities:  On the day your horse races, we want you to be comfortable and worry free.  Again, our Horsemen’s Relations department can be of service. With just a  phone call, you can reserve a table for four in our Clubhouse Horsemen’s Section for no charge, as well as complimentary admission for you and your guests and, as always, free parking.  Stake race entrants include a program and winning video for the victor!
