The Az Racing Commission is scheduled to meet in special session Friday, December 23 to consider approval of simulcasting Monarch tracks to all Arizona tracks and OTB systems. If the Commission approves the request, simulcasting will begin Friday, December 23 with Gulfstream Park, a Monarch track. Simulcasting of Monarch tracks will continue Monday, December 26 with Santa Anita, Golden Gate and Gulfstream Park along with other already approved simulcast tracks Christmas Eve OTB SitesThe following sites will be open Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) for horse and sports wagering: Boston's, Brookside, Gallagher's 16th Street, Gallagher's Baseline, RTO Sullivan's Mesa, Charley's, Harold's and Midtown and Turf Paradise. Padre Murphy's and Longshots will be open for horse race wagering only. The only site open for sports wagering only Christmas Day will be Turf Paradise.

Due to recent cancellations, Turf Paradise will be adding additional races from Saturday, December 10, 2022 through Thursday, December 22, 2022 (With the exception of Saturday, December 17th). Horsemen: Racing & TrainingRacing: There will be NO racing Wednesday.
Steve Woods worked the track all afternoon Tuesday. There are still a few spots on the backstretch and far turn that did not drain as well as the rest of the track. Mr. Woods will be working those areas following Wednesday’s training. Which brings us to training. Training: There will be training Wednesday, 6:00-10:00 am, with two breaks at the normal times. The cones will be out from the rail about 20 feet, so avoid the inside. There will be no workouts and no gate training. The Training Track will be open from 6:00-10:00 am with no breaks. Mr. Woods will spend the rest of Wednesday working the track. Racing resumes Thursday. |
