WIN- Select the winner of the race. You win only if your horse finishes first.  
PLACE- Means second. You win if your horse finishes first or second.  
SHOW- Means third. You win if your horse finishes first, second or third.
ACROSS THE BOARD- Wagering on a horse to win, place and show.  
Win, place and show bets are all minimum $2.00 wagers.

GIMMICK/EXOTIC WAGERS
QUINELLA- Select the first two finishers. Not necessarily in correct order.
EXACTA- Select the first two finishers in exact order.
TRIFECTA- Select the first three finishers in exact order.
SUPERFECTA- Select the first four finishers in exact order. 
Quinellas, exactas, trifectas and superfectas are  
offered at $1.00 or $2.00 depending on the individual track.


MULTIPLE RACE WAGERS

DAILY DOUBLE- Select the winner of two consecutive races.
PICK 3- Select the winner of three consecutive races.


HOW TO BET

When going to a mutuel window to place a wager, state this information.
    A. Name of the track
    B. Number of the race
    C. Dollar amount to be wagered
    D. Type of wager- win, place, exacta etc…
    E. Program number or numbers of the horse or horses
EXAMPLE: Turf Paradise-seventh race-$2.00 to win- number seven
